Happy Thanksgiving!

In honor of National Caregiver Month, our caregivers and their loved ones came together for our annual Caregiver Appreciation Party. We are extremely thankful for all the hard work, long hours, and endless support our caregivers provide throughout the year. To express our thanks and celebrate our caregivers, we played games, passed out prizes, and had a lunch feast together. Thank you to everyone who came!

Celebrating Fall with Pumpkin Carving!

Our caregivers came together to celebrate fall by carving their own pumpkins. Though these pumpkins may be smaller than the typical jack-o-lantern, our participants loved this activity just the same!

Last Summer Field trip of the year ---- Blueberry Picking 

Our caregivers and care receivers all enjoyed the last summer field trip of 2015 to Blueberry Farm. They love outdoor activities!! 

参觀動物園

我們一行30多人浩浩盪盪的一起遊動物園，一起在陽光下暢遊動物園, 出外走走呼吸下新鮮的空氣。大家一起，十分愉快。

Woodland Park Zoo Outing 

A group of caregivers went to the Zoo on 6/30 and we all had fun together. We all enjoyed the sunshine, seeing all the animals, walking on the beautiful path, getting some refresh air …what a fun day!

“慢性疾病自我管理課程” 完滿結束

我們家囑照顧者支援計劃於六月份舉辨的 “慢性疾病自我管理課程” 已於6月29日完满結束。學員十分開心能完成這六星期的課程，能夠学会自我管理，畢生受用，是所有参加者最開心的事情!

我們下一期的課程將會於仁人服務社在南部 Kent的辦公室舉辨，並於 8 月5 日開始, 時間爲上午9:30 至12:00。 歡迎大家邀請朋友参加。請致電 (206)-957-8518 報名。

“Chronic Disease Self - Management”

We finished our “Chronic Disease Self-Management” class on 6/29 and all students are very grateful for the class. “Learning how to self- manage their chronic illness is a life time skill and they very much appreciate this 6-week class.”

CISC's Family Caregiver Support Center offers a new Tai Chi Class for all caregivers.

Tai Chi is easy to learn and can strengthen your heart and lung function and longevity, which is the best exercise regimen. We welcome all caregivers to join us.

親屬照顧者生活素質研習班 ( Powerful Tools for Caregivers)

親屬照顧者生活素質研習班

你有面對著照顧他人時的挑戰嗎?

健安社區服務網將與仁人服務社合辦一個為期六週的免費國粵語(有翻譯)“親屬照顧者生活素質研習班 (Powerful Tools for Caregivers)”。該課程會於三月十日開始,每逢星期二早上九時半至十一時在仁人服務社舉行。

“這課程幫助我成為一個更有信心的照顧者。我學會了不同的方法使我成為一個更佳的照顧者。我感到更開朗，更有智慧，彼此也健康些。”  (一位參與者的感言)

這個為期六週的課程曾被證實可改善照顧者的：

-          自理行為(如 增加運動量, 更能鬆弛,更注重體檢)

-          情緒管理(減低內疚感，惱怒及情緒低落)

-          自我效能 (增強信心應付照顧上要求)

-          使用社區資源 (增加使用區內的服務)

Happy New Year- Year of Ram

家屬照顧者齊來慶新春

我們家屬照顧者為慶祝羊年的來臨, 分別於1/27 及2/10 舉辦了 "新春齊來寫對聯" 及"新年花燈製作"，各家屬照顧者都非常投入，互相在學習中分享，大家都感受到羊年來臨所帶來的歡樂!
每位家屬照顧者都帶著對聯 , 花燈開開心心地回家過新春。
